Dear Families,
Let’s join together to make a difference in our school experience this year! Joining the PTO is easy! Membership is only $5 per family. Fill out the form in this packet, attach your payment (cash or check) and return it to your child’s teacher or school office during the first week of school.
We are hoping to get 100% membership in our PTO! The $5 per family will go a long way to support the PTO’s efforts -- 100% of the money raised benefits our school, our students and our teachers. All of our contributions, whether monetary or volunteer (no matter what your abilities, time or interests may be) ultimately create a better educational experience for our children.
In the past our PTO has...
• purchased benches for the car rider line to help create a safer waiting area for our children.
• sponsored teacher appreciation efforts.
• sponsored an art cart.
• contributed funds to our athletic programs.
• purchased student reward products for AR and Math Superstars.
• contributed to the Character Education program.
• purchased reading assessment kits.
• provided snacks during FCAT testing.
• coordinated fundraising for special programs for our students.
• sponsored carnivals, book fairs, and Snowman Shop.
This year the PTO is working on...
• continuing to support our student enrichment programs, teacher appreciation efforts and volunteer recognition
• a new website, www.ImagineSouthLakePTO.org, to enhance communication of school happenings to parents. It will also enable you to provide feedback and ideas directly to the board.
• raising funds to purchase a sound system to be used at all of our large events.
• a volunteer recognition program to encourage greater participation and volunteerism from our parents.
• exploring new and innovative ways to effectively raise funds for our school.
